The new ovens for the Food Innovation Academy (FIA) have been delivered to Vlaardingen today. In the next couple of days they will be installed and put into practice. Our partner Veenhuizen Groep has provided three MIWE convection ovens, deck ovens for bread and pastry and a rack oven for bread as well as a full proofing machine. Earlier they already installed a cold storage system.
The ovens are being placed in the Bakery Innovation Academy (BIA): the test- and education bakery which is part of the FIA.
The BIA is located in the recently constructed floor, on top of the brand new warehouse of Royal Steenma, which is the initiater of the entire FIA & BIA project. Food students, professionals as well as the R&D staff and Technical Advisors of Royal Steensma will all be using the facilities of the BIA.
